University of Louisville Basketball
The people in Kentucky love their college basketball, so there are not many better things to do in the city than to go to a University of Louisville Cardinals basketball game. The Louisville Cardinals play all of their home games at the KFC Yum Center, which is located just off of the school’s campus. The University of Louisville basketball team was formed in 1911 and has the 16th most wins in college basketball history, so you will be seeing one of the most historic teams in the sport.

While the history of the football team at the University of Louisville is not the same as the basketball team, every game is still an amazing time for everyone in attendance. There are not many things that can top the atmosphere of a college football game, and every football fan should experience it at least once in their live. The team plays all of their home games at the 55,000 seat Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, which is filled to capacity for almost every game.
While most people associate Churchill Downs with the Kentucky Derby, there are horse races occurring at the racetrack throughout the year. Churchill Downs was first opened in 1875 and was recently voted as the fifth best horse racetrack in North America. If you have any interest in horse racing, then there is no better place to visit while in Louisville.
Valhalla Golf Club
Valhalla Golf Club is a golf course that was designed by Jack Nicklaus, who is arguably the greatest golfer of all-time. Valhalla Golf Club was established in 1986 and has hosted some of the most prestigious golf tournaments since then, including the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. Whether you are playing the course or watching the professionals play, there are not many better places to experience golf than the Valhalla Golf Club.
The Louisville Bats are a minor league baseball team that play at the AAA level. Louisville Bats are associated with the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball, so you will get the chance to see the future stars of the Reds before they hit it big. Louisville Slugger Field is where you will have to go if you want to see the team in action. Current MLB stars Joey Votto, Adam Dunn and Jay Bruce all got their start with the Louisville Bats.
